Bambusa multiplex, or Hedge Bamboo, is a versatile, clumping bamboo species native to China. It features dense, bushy growth with slender, erect culms that can reach heights of 6–9 meters. This bamboo thrives in tropical and subtropical climates and tolerates a variety of soil types. Commonly used for ornamental  purposes, it serves as an excellent hedge or privacy screen. Its shoots are also used in craftwork, and the plants hardiness makes it a popular choice for erosion control and landscaping.
